The Good: A big, physically built back with an impressive first step for his size. Showcases good vision at the line of scrimmage and has the body control to make a man miss in the hole and attack up field. Runs with good power and leverage in the open field and is a load to bring down. Showcases impressive lower body strength and can push the pile when needed.
The Bad: Has some concerns about his durability and overall passion for the game. Has been banged up each of the past three years, and some think he's been "saving" himself for a big payday on NFL draft weekend.

Positives: Possesses a very unique size-speed ratio and is very quick over10 yards. Excellent straight-line speed - has shown he could pull away in the clear once he gets a step on defenders and has good finishing speed. Very good inside power and run strength to clear through clutter and power through contact. Can pick and slide. Creates a lot of yardage after contact and is a load to tackle. Very strong lower-body strength and leg drive. Almost always falls forward. Flashes a powerful stiff-arm. Square,face-up blocker.
Negatives: Will run out of bounds instead of dipping his shoulder and questions regarding his toughness must be answered. Runs too upright and straight-linish and opens up a big striking target that always could make him susceptible to injuries. Lacks the lateral agility to sidestep tacklers and takes too many direct hits. Not elusive in the hole. Hands are suspect and could show more interest as a blocker. Easily influenced and too much of a follower. Thin lower body from the knee down.
Summary: Physically is the most impressive back in the draft and possesses rare measurables. The type of player who could make a draft or break a team's heart, Wells could be a perennial tease or a perennial Pro Bowler. Toughness, durability and motivation remain questions that could derail a brilliant career. Could make an instant impact and become a game-changer if he wants to be.
