"On the Hoof: Grant has very wide shoulders with a thin waist and heaps of lean muscle. Though he is not 6-feet tall, he could easily pass as a safety because his frame will hold another 15 to 20 pounds.
Needs Improvement: Grant needs to work on off-man coverage. His reactions to the receiver movements need to be quicker and smoother. He could be more consistent with his tackling techniques because he has a tendency to stop moving his feet after contact.
Most Impressive: His testing numbers match his performance on the football field. Grant can jump out of the building and he has the ball skills to become a difference maker at the next level. His size and strength also make him versatile; he could play some safety in a pinch.
Conclusion: Tough for corners to see early playing time because there is so much to learn and the receivers are much bigger in college. I'm sure he'll get a chance to prove himself on coverage teams. Look for him to end up as an all-conference performer before his college career is over.
