"On the Hoof: Has excellent overall body structure huge arms and wide powerbase. His build is like Josh Downs of LSU.
Needs Improvement: Needs to do a better job of shedding blocks by adding to his arsenal of pass-rushing moves. McReynolds also must move his feet once engaged and while tackling rather than trying to Greco-Roman wrestle his opponents. How much bigger can he get?
Most Impressive: He is pretty athletic for his size and quick off the ball. McReynolds has very little bad body weight and does a nice job winning the leverage battle. This defensive lineman is also athletic enough to chase plays all over the field.
Conclusion: Quality defensive tackles are hard to come by. If McReynolds comes into camp in shape, he could see some playing time early. Right now his skill set says he should be more of a run stopper and that means short-yardage and goal line will be where he gets his first opportunities.
