Will Alabama finish with the country's best overall recruiting class? Can Georgia or LSU make a run for the top spot? Will Auburn continue to build off its national championship season? And who, after all is said and...[details]
"On the Hoof: Lane would be considered a big back with excellent overall body structure. He is thick, but not to the point that it hurts his change of direction. He is built like a slightly smaller Storm Johnson of the University of Miami.
Needs Improvement: Needs to hit the hole a little harder and use his shoulder pads as weapons. Lane is considered tall for a running back, and forward body lean will be very important for his durability.
Most Impressive: Went down to Top Gun last year and outshined the likes of Lache Seastrunk, Aaron Green and Malcolm Brown. He is a very hard worker and possesses soft hands. Lane also has excellent quickness and home-run speed.
Conclusion: If he is healthy when he arrives on campus, expect him to push for playing time as a freshman. Lane is an every-down back that can wear defenses down and make short-yardage gains in the red zone.
