"On the Hoof: The muscular Crowell's build is similar to Texas A&M running back Christine Michael.
Needs Improvement: Needs to improve balance so he can bounce off tacklers and gain extra yardage. Crowell could work on picking his feet up higher when tacklers are trying to bring him down around the ankles.
Most Impressive: Has the size, strength and build to become an every-down back. He possesses soft hands so he's a threat in the passing game. Crowell does a nice job of accelerating through the hole and has homerun speed.
Conclusion: He is an explosive back that should see playing time as a freshman. If he can stay healthy and learn the little things such as pass protection, he should be an impact player at any college. Kickoff returns could also be a specialty at the next level.
